As you may know already. . .elephants have to be my favorite animal in the whole world. I go sometimes just to watch them, and I'm intrigued because I really think they know me now. I think they sense how much I truly love the heck out of them! Almost always they will turn towards me, even walking right up to the edge of their place, look me in the eye, tilt their heads as if they are placing me, and then they let me snap away. On the day after I took this photo, this one, walked over to where I was standing, then he walked over and got IN the water and started splashing his back, and watched me the whole time, almost like he was saying, "Watch me. Watch me." :)
I love elephants!

CUTEness overload!! What a dollbaby, and so adorably captured. I saw elephants on the animal planet swimming yesterday (shot from underwater) and boy they just love that and are really good swimmers.
Connecting with animals is a very intriguing thing... The processing makes this look like a painting! I love the golden browns of the pic. You really get the sense of movement and playfulness from the photo. Beautiful!

what a great shot! the eye is bugging me though. It's so fun and I love the essence of the elephant. they are such loving and loyal creatures. There is a movement to release them from zoos; that lifestyle is actually harmful to their psyche...10
