I'm tickled that this shot did as well as it did. This is a personal best for me.
I shot this while on a drive in the country. I noticed this stand of trees, and the fluffy clouds and thought that the contrast between them was interesting.
I also knew that, given the position of the sun, my polarizer would turn the sky a deep blue.

One of my favourite 7 images. Really like the vibrant colour, especially the lime green and bright blue, though these two colours only sing out because of the white and dark green/ black of the clouds and woods. Composition is just perfect with the low, low horizon and the huge expanse of sky, with the centred woods and the mainly low sitting clouds with just one lonely one at the top. Just wonderful.
