Thank you all for your warm and expressive comments.
Have to tell you that this photo is taken in an Hoover Dam ( i guess this is the name in english ) and this is a restricted area. Some guys came to me, thinking that i was probably a terrorist :)))
Congrats! I have mixed feelings about the new guys getting ribbons. On the one hand its good to see new people winning. On the other hand, there were already enough good people to compete with before you guys got here. Just kidding. Good find and good shot.
Beautiful tones and contrast, great perspective effect, and an all-around nice shot. Minor nit is the brighter slightly overexposed beam top right, could be burned in a bit outside of the challenge.
Finally something that I was expecting to see a little more of. I think I've voted on 30 in a row that were quite uninspiring. I really like this one. It reminds me of my bridge pic in a way. Nice job. 8
This photo looks like it comes from another world. It is a joy to look at the slight off-centre POV in this photo and watch all the different elements and lines. Combined with the black and white, the light, shadows and the distant landscape it makes this photo one of the best of this challenge (9).
That big shadow is right in the middle, I love it. So symmetrical, then the shadows come in just right and add some character. Wish I had taken this one. POV seems well-planned too. 10!
this is very striking. you have a good eye. maybe even two. this is the kind of thing that non-shutterbugs might not even see, isn't it nice having a hobby that expands your view of the world.
A very enjoyable picture to look at; I love the BW treatment, absolutely gorgeous! The only thing I would fix is centering the image to stress the symmetry, especially when you are using a title such as Geometry, which correlates to mathematics and symmetry, other than that small blip, a very nice shot that fits the challenge well.
