 Not anticipating much in the way of scores here...Yes I know the reflection is a "hot spot" - but that's part of the hypnotic effect I liked. The top dogs will take great pictures of slow exposure waves and majestic seas I'm sure... but this was a truly uplifting experience: to be up at sunrise on a winter's Saturday morning...so still, that it woke up all my senses!


Drawn yet again to Kalk Bay - Cape Town...I just never get tired of the place. This was taken at 8.13 am - winter sunrise. There were two other photographers at the harbour...perhaps they're DPC members??? It would be fascinating to see their images...taken much at the same time of the same location...

i like this image a lot, but i would have possibly made the lighthouses and/or harbor entrance a bit larger subject in the photo, but of course not to take away from the ocean

I can see where you were going with this photo and I think it could have really turned out nice, but I don't really like how it looks now. 5.

A little bit blown out on the water. I would have liked a softer reflection - like a polarising filter...
