This is the Col. Ward Pumping Station in Buffalo, NY, which transports water to the entire city. My local camera club was treated to an exclusive tour of the interior of this historic building (built in 1914). Waldo, by the way, is at the far end, in the center, on the platform to the left of the lower stairs.

Len I HATE you. I speny so flipping long looking for this Walso and then once I read your description I found him in an instance. I loved this picture on a whole host of levels and for me it would have been a ribboner in the challenge
Hmm. Not 100% sure, but am guessing Waldo is blocking that last light on the middle level on the left. Something is, anyway. Nice star effect on the lights.
Wow, it's such a nice photo. But, no matter how much I look (it's been 10 minutes I spent plus my son was looking too) - I don't see 'Waldo'. Yes, I see you say '...he's there'. I think it should be more obvious. Still, because I think it's just a nice and interesting photo, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I wonder how it will turn out? I'll go with a 8.
I am tearing my flaming hair out here, trying to find Waldo!!! I dont know why but I feel certain that he is there somewhere (rather than you playing a cruel trick on the voters) and that when you point him out I will scream at my lack of observational skills
Got to say that this is one of the most striking images in terms of this challenge and has been fantastically captured, I just hope for your sake that other people are better spotters than me and that you dont get marked down by anyone who cant find waldo. This gets 9 from me
Regardless of Waldo, this is a great image. The industrial feel is so clear here, the blues blue, but industrial blue; the greys great. Great light, and excellent composition, with such good use of symmetry, broken only in the differently symmetrical appearance of the ladders. One of the places that keeps modern life going, but we never see. Wonderful, bumping it up to a 10 (first had it at a 9).
Damn, I'll be blind before this challenge is over. LOL I've got on my reading glasses and I might see a tiny profile in the lower left. Did I get it? ;~D
i've been looking for 10 minutes and i dont see anything that looks like a person. i'll come back later. still dont see anything but nice photo. not voting so good luck!
