neat. can't tell if it's just cake icing, or something like a taffy pull - that fold on the left is throwing me off. Nice capture of texture and shadow. made 'a bowl of yellow' look really interesting.

Some kinda dough or maybe taffy ?
Post actions
Taffy? Nice focus and color!

There's an inconsistancy: The subject pulls my eye to the section where the dough/stuff is pulling apart, but the DOF trying to pull my eye to the upper right hand corner. and the lighting seems to yank my eye to the bottom right. It seems to me that if you get all these elements to work together, then they'll combine forces and make this image awesome. IMHO

Looks like candy. That or a melting alien.

Ooey, gooey frosting! (Which you then put on a really yummy cake!) It's probably something like caulking which is completely inedible, yet you have me thinking about cake! :P Nice lines that you created out of whatever it is.

sandwich spread or simply as a yellow paint?
Post actions
That looks like salt water taffy
Post actions
looks like salt-water taffy being pulled, but I'm going to guess cake batter.

taffy? or caulking? is that how you spell that?
Post actions
I'm going to guess something yummy like frosting. The focus is nice and I really like what you did with the lighting, giving interesting shadows and texture!

looks like overcooked sticky pasta!

Lemon frosting, if so yum!! It's probably some kind of putty though! Nice design.

You are cooking!! It looks like a mixture of something you are going to cook. Or it could be paint.

It looks like cake frosting, but I doubt it. Interesting shapes.

frosting??? i like all the patterns in this one!
Post actions
Looks like frosting or taffy, but it's probably something like caulking or sealant :-)

Taffy? Icing? Mustard? Nice shape and texture!

Icing/frosting? Paint? Very yellow butter? Good photo for this challenge, lighting could use a bit of work.
