This is magic: the plate looks the moon beginning to be in, or out of, eclipse, and the carrots, well, reminiscent of pi, reinforcing circle motif...

Beautiful effect on this picture. But I am a little confused by the lighting. How were the carrots lit? Surely not with the same light that lit the plate?

This image is really evocative somehow. I like what you've done. It's so dark and empty and then there's this bright splash of orange - it narrows the focus of the viewer on to the carrots, and yet the rim of the plate is still visible, framing the emptiness of the meal.

Looks like carrots in orbit. A nice shot that could easily be in a magazine. Not sure if I'd like to see a little more of the plate or not though.
