 I plucked a day lily from the front yard, held it up in the sky and shot, used match color to get the look, border,resize and save for web

This started out strong and i was hoping to beat my personal best but it was not to be...well a lady at work asked me for a print of it so that made me feel good

understand, I am NO PRO: I gave this a 6 during voting, I liked the overall image, the coloring & lighting, but thought the flower needed to be a bit more prominent & the BG was noisy...after looking through your portfolio, I see this is a very different image for you...branching out is good. Congrats on your coworker buying the print! that's always a total compliment!!

Very nice. I am sorry I missed this one during the voting. (I only made it a bit over half way through)

It certainly conveys the sense of negative space very well, and seems natural in doing so. I love the pastels in the background. Well done.
