Thank you to all the nice comments and the generous votes, it was a fun week
For the curious minds, here you have my explanation
No pasting (illegal), no strobes, no extra flash
I'm sure you will be asked how you did it. I've tried to set this shot up in my mind and so far, the only thing I came come up with ... is a lotta luck. Congrats on a Great shot.... (2 or more stobes - timing slightly staggered, slow exposure small aperature ) ???
Well I suppose a shot like this is valid under the new rules, but this much editing just looks cheesy in my opinion. It is an interesting composition and the colors and shapes and such are also pretty well done, but the whole effect is too much and ruins the shot. If somehow this is a camera trick instead of editing... then the camera trick ended up making the shot look like it had been done with cheesy editing, which isn't really any better. = )
The blur is interesting; how do you do it while keeping the main figure sharp? I'm guessing auxiliary flash during part of a longer exposure, but I don't really know that's the case.
to me this image looks like it has had way too much editing done to it. maybe a milder touch on the editing would have resulted in a photo that does not look too fake
