Very nice photo, makes me think of a bud along the lines of an artichoke...maybe?

Cacti?? Nice, glowing colors. Like this one!

In fact that is exactly what you are looking at. If I were you I would go to the lowest part of my house and stay there until Authorities have arrived. They have been dispatched. Nice lighting and composition by the way. :)

Some kind of plant? I think more saturation would help. The colors are pretty dull.

A flower bud? Nicely done!

a flower head? nice textures.

Lots of flowers look like aliens before they open up and show their inner beauty. I sure hope this is a flower.

A flower bud which is still tightly closed up? The title is perfect though!

Cool macro, cool abstract. It looks like a flower about to open up, maybe a mum or dahlia?

They're practically slithering!!! Very nice job with the lighting and DOF to get that effect.

Lovely, dream-like look (though on the nightmarish end of the spectrum, obviously). Does look wholly alien. (a bud of some sort?)
Post actions
just guessing. flower bud, possibly made with cake frosting?
Post actions
A good shot of plant leaf buds?
Post actions
very nicely done. can't find anything to complain about ;-)

A plant bud. It does look alien. I wish the centre of the bud was more focused. Nice warm colours and interesting lines.
