This is what the original looked like straight out of RAW (cropped to about the same size as my entry). Yuck! Bear in mind, though, that this is a RAW file in Adobe RGB, so it will naturally appear soft and dull. The focus is actually very sharp (centered on on the little guy's face), but I had to trade off a little sharpness to balance out the ISO 1600 noise.
