oh, i do not like this photo:( oh well
******
thank you for your comments:)
i don't like it because it doesn't say anything new to me, it doesn't do anything to me. if i saw it in somebody's portfolio i'd probably forget about it after a minute.
photography for me is a way to show how i see the world, to show something new and different, new angles. or something beautiful - the way i want things to be.
this photo is nothing at all.
yes, i love these moments, but i prefer watching them, not producing boring photos of them.
and it's not even good technically:)

Read you detail comments, funny how people differ. I just take pictures to help me remember my life. That's the great thing about photography, people do it for some many different reasons. This is a lot different from most of your work and I can see why you don't like it though it is a well captured photo. Cheers and keep shooting. I always enjoy going through your portfolio.
Why do you not like this? I quite like it. It has an exuberance to it. In fact, I've sat for a time and shot young folks like this one throwing water on each other in much the same way that's happening here. I think I get as much enjoyment out of shooting them as they do just being kids. I also like (from a photographic perspective) the fact the colors are not hyped, and in fact seem just a bit subdued, letting the young man's expression take center stage.
Love the timing on this shot with the water sailing. This area reminds me of the fountain downtown in SLC at the Gateway. It's such a great place to play.
This is a very harsh time of day to try and take a shot. See how blow out the top of his arm is? This works pretty well though in spite of the time of day.

You cant go wrong with kids and water, very nice composition of this image and the thrown water provides a great symettrical element with the boys arms
