i like this whole white negative space thing, so i thought this was a good challenge to try it out. unripe tomatoes from the garden, tweaked the contrast and colors a tad, but no cropping. unsharpen mask applied.

yes ... if only i'd known negative space was next week's challenge ... sigh! ;) thanks for all your kind comments. to answer some of your comments:
syamjonimi ... i put the tomatoes on a white sheet of cardboard. then increased the contrast and the highlights in my photo-editing software. check out //www.langpage.com/dpchallenge/index.com, i've posted the original photo there.
kavey, lennier ... i believe someone thought i might have spot-edited the background.
Don't you think this would be a good negative space photograph? I really like the stark background. White background is something I have yet to master....What is your background for this shot? =8 syamjonimi
Nice title, kinda don't see the reason for the admin note, but that's O.K. Nice set up shot. (better than many....) Starkness of the tomatoes helps the interest value, but IMO, still lifes are hard to be greatly "interesting". You did well. 8 Swash
I'd love to know why this image got flagged. (It's got that "validated by administrators" thing on it) It's a technically perfect, yet boring photo. 6 -lennier
If only you knew that negative space was going to be the next challenge. ;-) The image looks somehow a bit off to me, I'm not sure why, still one of my top picks this week.
