These women were photographed while I was out on patrol, (combat medic in Iraq). There is a big berm and a lake to the side of them. To my understanding the water raises up and leaves puddles, this also liquifies the salt in the the ground and brings it to the surface. The sun then beins to evaperate the water leaving the salt. Only minor exposure ajustments were made.

While it is a good documentary scene I find that with a tighter cropping on either the colourful person or the other 2 would help to add more interest. Face contact also helps
