 I've had a number of shots lined up since the start of December for this challenge, but in the end opted for this shot taken on the 31st! Tecnically I realise it has too shallow a DOF, caused by my sloppy use of F/5.6, but I like the shot enough to replace my previous submission.

Editing wise I just did an auto-levels.

The title comes from Fernilee, a parish in Goyt Valley near the river Goyt in the Pennines in England. History here.

the name certaintly caught my eye! Nice composition....I like the way you laid the photograph out....the eye naturally wants to follow the road around the landscape.
