Challenge: Free Study 2007-05 (Advanced Editing V)
Camera: Canon EOS-30D
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM
Location: San Francisco, California, USA
Date: May 30, 2007
Aperture: f/2.8
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/1000 sec
Galleries: Nature, Animals
Date Uploaded: May 31, 2007

Took this in the park, resized in photoshop, increased contrast, and brightness, and saved for web.

It was very hard to get close to these birds, they fly very fast and focusing them is almost impossible, but i manage to get this one. Maybe i need a longer lens to shoot nature...

Congrats with capturing this bird. I'm also having trouble with them. One time I was lucky.

pretty capture - the bird could use a little bit sharper focus - it seems like it was sharpened but really it needs a sharper focus on the eyes

a good shot. Dof is good, maybe a longer lens to bring out the birds color more might have helped

Great bird shot. I would like to shoot more birds but I need a better camera than the one I have.

Good luck

Nice DOF and focus looks pretty sharp, but a tighter crop with bird in top third would have strengthened this IMO.
