Good idea! This could be in a microbiology textbook! I like the vibrancy of colors. To improve this, I think that the bacterial colony to the left of the inoculating loop should be in sharp focus, as my eye is drawn there.

The left side is out of focus. The scene seems to be real,perhaps for that reason I don't see beauty in this capture..sorry
