 A bumble bee on a butterfly bush in my back yard. This was taken with a 30D and a Sigma 80-400mm lens at 400mm. I used a 36mm extension tube to aid in the close focusing.

Post processing: Sharpened, saturated, run through neat image, saved for web.

A bit larger DOF would have been better, making the whole flower in focus, but keeping the background out of focus.
