I think this shot needs a good deal of cropping; the portions of people half in and half out give an impression of a quick snapshot. The costume is tacky, but the overall setting is sad, and neither tacky nor Christmassy.
I'd have considered a tighter crop of the woman to emphasise the subject (and lose the distracting hand bottom right). But a good subject; wins my vote because it's not just another "macro of small christmas ornament"!
If you could have cropped the photo in on the subject it would have had greater impact. There is too much going on around her to get the full impact. Good subject matter though.
My god! I now live in Australia, but there\'s no way on earth that is Morcome and Wise on the TV is it!!! That could even be Dec O\'Connor episode *laugh* Fun shot.
