These city workers in Portugal were forging rail tracks. Was fascinated with the process and had snapped several frames already when the foreman politely waved me to the right. Then, this spectacular action took place. A few minutes later and the track was welded together. They got ready to do the other side of the track. Time consuming process. They were just starting at the bottom of the street!
Also so neat was that the local bystanders (mostly men) were bending the wire fence with their bare hands so I could get my lens through for a better shot. The more I thanked them in Portuguese the more they would bend! It was the most pleasant and fascinating experience I have ever had with camera in hand.
