Playing with aperture. Bright sunlight, near 1:00 pm. Very light grass surrounding the main subject, I was trying to blur the background grass as much as possible.

good composition and clarity. seems a little flat or dull (not subject-wise); maybe a bit of contrast adjustment, or if you could shoot at a different time of day to give it a bit more drama with shadows, or something
A spiky thing! The background has too many busy elements. I would also have tried getting down lower and shooting it against the blue sky (if a blue sky was available at the time, of course).
