EDITING: RAW converted to TIFF (nothing major changed there), cropped (had to remove the banisters & railings), resized, sharpened, messed with the levels to boost midtones & highlights, converted to mono on the yellow channel (then slight brown duo) and faded back towards just normal desat a bit, boosted the contrast lots, tweaked the levels for a bit more shadow and highlight, final sharpen, and save JPG. Phew!
