Super Macro Mode...on a tripod...used natural light from windows, and a lamp. I also used a small flashlight which I put underneath the subject. In Corel I cropped the photo, and I softened the photo around the edges.

Beautiful subject and very well lit. Texture is clear and detailed.
I do feel that this could have been more impressive if you had cropped out the outer edges of the shell. Try masking the area with your hands - it looks instantly dynamic and impactful. Good job though.
