Shot in RAW and converted to JPG using Adobe Lightroom. Whilst in Lightroom I adjusted White Balance and recovery as well as a little Fill light.
Photoshop, tidied the background to be a solid white colour to remove the odd ripple in the vinyl background. Levels, Curves, amd Brightness, then created duplicate layer and desaturated the top layer and deleted the grey from the flowers to add colour to them.

What a lovely little girl. I really like the b&w conversion. The orchids are beautiful too. Nice entry. Too bad she didn't end up in your top row. It would have been fun to have here there on your profile page.
hehe, what a cute shot. when ever i see a shot like this, someone laying down (b/w) with a bouqet of flowers (colored), 100% of the time, its a wedding shot! you totally surprised me by having a little girl in this pose! I love her little half smile, a real keeper. good job.
I love the portrait! Not so fond of the desat, though I do realize that was the challenge. I'd like to see this either in color or black and white. Beautifully lit, well composed, very nice work.
Beautiful little girl. I'm having trouble with this one because I really think the shot would be better with NO color (which of course would make it DNMC). The colorful flowers keep pulling me away from her whimsical expression, which I think should be the focal point.
You also have a little problem with color shadowing the area around the flowers - I presume from the way you selected that area. You may get dinged overall for that. But don't let it bother you, this is a great photo (exceptions noted) and you should be pleased with it.
