I like this, but would like to see some variations with different cropping to position the knob in, say, the upper right corner.

I like the textures in this image, as well as the excellent use of lighting.

Not a very interesting subject or composition, to me anyway...sorry. Try to think of a perspective or angle that fills more of the frame and better conveys what you find interesting about the shape of the knob.

This is nice and simple and works fairly well. Could be a little bit better balanced by moving the knob just a little lower in the frame. JMO of course. :) Good luck in the challenge.
