During the week I was making some macro shots of insects near my house. Most of them failed as insects have a tendency to move very quickly (at least too quick for my A40 ). Suddenly I noticed this huge fly on a leaf. Its length was between 2.5 and 3.5 cm. I approached it very carefully and was able to make some great shots of it; from which I liked this one most.
I used two close up lenses (+2 and +5) combined with my width angle lens (it has a magnification comparable to a +4 close up lens). So in total I had a +9 magnification. This also explains the very short DOF.
