My headphones hanging from the ceiling. Yes, the pair of white stripes are fluorescent lights. I was lying with my back on the floor shooting up at the headphones.
Lighting: A flash (that I built from a disposable camera) aimed horizontally about 120 degrees camera right. The flash was triggered optically with the built-in flash. The flash is not very powerful, hence needing ISO 400 to be able to shoot at f/8, even though the flash was relatively close.
Post processing: RAW. Had to clone out a bit of the string that got lit (no time to find some black string/thread), along with a few other distractions. Black and white conversion, channel mixer with 25% green and 75% blue. Curves for more contrast.
This is an amazing shot. The lines are darned near perfect and so is the lighting. This is a very dynamic image.
You have a great talent for finding fantastic images and creating masterpieces out of them.
