the white balance seems a little off here which has caused the colours to look rather un-natural. I would have guessed this would have been shot using lighting for a tungsten lamp?
It is very difficult to photograph food items such as this and make them look good. The professionals do not use ice cream. They use a substitute like Crisco. It stands up over time and under the lights and looks better when photographed...
