On my way out to feed the horses and we have a compost bin I made out of wood pallets. The buttercups were growing up between the slats in a couple of places. I really liked the way the shadow of the space between slats added to this. This was a quick grab since I didn't have my tripod at hand (guess I could have walked back to the house...) and I think a deeper DOF may have helped some. Ah well, it was a fun discovery! :P

I really like the shallow DoF. Really like the contrast of the wood and the shadows. would have liked to have seen the entire piece of wood OOF, it looks like fart of it is in focus and I do find it a bit distracting.
I really like the simplicity of the back vs white, the flower looks a bit blown out and I wish the diagonal started in the corner - moving a bit to your l may have put the flower into the black and the diagonal coming from the corner, you may have been able to use a square crop then. nevertheless still a very nice shot
