 One of my entries in the local (prefecture-wide) newspaper's photo contest got selected in the Consolation (I guess) category (i.e. it just missed out on a money prize).

It was one of my fireworks pictures from August and I only entered at the last minute because it was one of the fireworks pictures I'd already had printed from slide film. My other three entries were digital (a frog and some dragonflies).

It's not even my favourite fireworks picture...

A lady at the exhibition took the photo for me.
