I was walking between buildings at work yesterday and found this branch on the ground. Brought it home, used my shop lamp shining on the wall next to the table, and voila. Processing - cropped a wee bit, did a pass of Neat Image (high ISO shot, handheld), did a high pass sharpen, and that's it. The conversion to B&W was done in the camera.
Nice composition. It's funny, I was looking at a pinecone today when I picked up my kids from school and thought that would be neat to take a closeup of. Nice work....now I have to think of something else.
Only a 'real' photographer could use the expression "found this branch on the ground. Brought it home" and not be considered mad
Lovely dof on this shot and - especially compared to yesterday - love the dead space.
Strangely enough I have a bowl of pine cones about 2 feet away from me which I thought might make a decent entry for this challenge...Given that you have done this so well I guess I needn't bother now.
Quite different from your norm, yet still a lovely image
Wow. I love the simplicity of this shot. The lighting, composition and tones are fantastic. I am very envious and currently way begind on submitting any of my own. Great job.
