Congrats on the ribbon. I am kind of sad for you since I thought this shot shoudl be an easy first. This image was the only 10 that I gave out of the entire challenge.
What an amazing shot! I'm not normally a fan of fisheye type shots, but in this case, the extreme wide angle has enabled you to show both the remarkable buildings surrounding the event and the huge skeleton and some of the "audience"! If I'd voted in this challenge, I'd have given it the only 10 I've ever given!

i've made very little post processing. Just converted from raw and a little bit of crop to avoid CA of the lens on the border + usm + canvans + resize. It was a PELENG 8mm. This lens is like a trip in the photographic stone age(but it is new and produced in Byelorussia)! no autofocus: everything is manual and made in full metal, no plastic parts! but its effect is amazing.. pure fun :D a kiss to my boyfriend that has bought it :*
it was a shame that this was in basic editing, i really was tempted to remove those crane in the background.. but doesn't matter.. it is already a joy to arrive third!
thanks everybody for comments and votes!
p.s.: HERE some info about the giants and the artist that have create it.
I love the fisheye lens. I bought one for my cheapo that screws on and it just doesn't turn out images that well. I can't wait until I get a real camera... Okay well enough about me lets talk about you.
Very odd that there is a huge pile of bones there that people are staring at. From your POV you had every inch of it in mind when you shot this. I love it... The sky does not look boring with the clouds in it and the brightness of the buildings really make this image stand out. Only think I can really find wrong with this image is the fact that there is construction going on in the back ground behind the buildings, and that is not your fault one bit. Other than that there is nothing wrong with this. I give you a 9 for creativity, focus, color, subject, and a sweet fisheye. Good luck.
