This is a really great photograph. I love the tension of the boy in front being in the air but very close to the water. Great tones and contrast as well. 9.
the image has a lot going for it - great reflections, neat sunset, cute kids, ocean scene - but the colors are quite a bit oversaturated for my taste - especially the sky to the left 6
nice composition however I wonder what this pic would look like if you cropped out most of the foreground, and included more of the sky/clouds/sun with the kids being more at the bottom of the foto ... still a nice shot though - 6
perhaps this image is early dnmc because the boys run for game and perhaps this isn't sport. But for me this is a really great image under every point of view. 10
Yes, running can be considered a sport, but during competition.
I am not convinced that this is a competitive situation. I simply looks like three happy kids running down the beach, at sunset.
However, photographically speaking, this is a good image.
Comp great, light good but just barely see detail from the faces, nice reflections, great capture with mid air stride, excellent color, excellent lines, nice movement, excellent dof, emotional value good. Overall a great image, and know DPC you may get a ribbon only because this is a good image, or you may get a lot of DNMC.
amazing colors, while i love how everything is sharp, this sharpness is driving my eyes from the kids to the sand in the foreground. Still a nice capture and control of light! 7
Seems like a fun shot instead of a sports shot... none the less I like it... I wonder if there would have been a way to get a bit of flash on the kids without having had a negative effect on the colorful refl;ections... Very nice lots of POP!
