I took a similar shot a couple of weeks ago with my FZ30. when I saw this challenge come up I knew I had to try it again with my new camera to see the difference.
I really wish it was an advanced editing challenge so I could clone out some things I don't like. Oh well, can't have everything.

Technically
A good shot, nice DOF and crisp, Maybe the shine on the ball is a tad distracting but no spot editing in basic.
Composition is great, love the angle and the post in the back. I like the way the ball fills the screen. You could have even cropped it a little more on the left and removed the trees, they don't really add anything to the picture.

Despite being a nice photograph, this entry does not fall within the parameters of this weeks challenge. That being said, I must judge this photograph accordingly. :-(
