Good image here. Very good focus on Sammy and the DOF works well. You laid out the jars just fine. Maybe taken a bit higher to allow Sammys full face to show, but this pose will do.
I think the one thing that would have allowed your image to score even higher would to have been to make the hue shift only on Sammy and not on the whole image. A complimenting color (not sure what compliments puke yellow ;)) could have made this stand out abit better. The backgournd color is just too similar to his skin tones. A bright and more vivid color I think would have allowed your image to pop even more and really isolate Sammy well.
But thats about it. You took a nice shot, edieted it well overall and the voters rewarded you witha 6+ score. Keep that up and you will see your top rated images all change in the very near future. Well done and good luck in future entries!
It might have been a little better if you had selected the boy and made only him green instead of the whole photo. Or even selected the background and altered its color to not have the green cast. It would have made the boy "pop" just a little better. Still great execution of the idea and fits the challenge well. I like the way the jars are arranged so that you see all six jars.
Fantastic!!! What a clever idea! Love the green face and overall green tone. The colored straws make the shot colorful too. Excellent focus and DOF. The look on his face is perfect!!
This has a whimsical quality. I like the different colour straws but think the colour of the face should be either natural or totally different - not something in between.
Would have been really cool if the subject's background was one color and his face was a little more green. I think you could have done that within the advanced edit rules. 7/10
