Superbly delicate - I like where you placed the focus here - the gradual fade back into soft focus provides the sense of depth. Moth on glass?

Very cool details! Good idea shooting thru the glass, shows a whole nother perspective.

The moth is quite alive. He is outside my house on a window. I was inside and shot the picture with my new 60mm f/2.8 lens right through the glass.

An upside down moth! I guess it's dead? I really like the black background and the centered composition. Great detail on the wings, I just wish there were a bit more DOF.

Enough dof to get the entire insect in focus is really called for here, as the insect is the only thing in the shot. Nice details on the parts that are in focus.

Really appreciate the details you captured here. I do tend to agree with BAMartin about the focus on the head. But the details are very nice.

Aren't moths cool??? I might play with levels a smidge to bring up the mid tones.
