I wasn't gonna bother to do this, cause I couldn't think of anything that was really good.
But then I figured what the heck..
I grabbed some frozen ham outta the fridge, and the eggs, a plate and put em' on the counter, took a couple of shots, and this is what I came up with.
I used photoshop to separate the eggs from the ham, cleaned them up a bit, colored them green and put em' back on. Yummy!

The angle is predictable. The light is flat. The crop is too tight.
I hate to be brutal, but integrity dictates the truth. I just don't care for this, I'm sorry.
I think this could be improved by using softer lighting, removing the ham from the package, using a plate big enough to display the food without hanging over the edge, and perhaps playing with different arrangements of the eggs and ham and garnishes like you see in food magazines. I realize the green eggs are not meant to look appetizing in the story, but their color alone is pretty off-putting. Also, I'd suggest a much smaller border so you have more usable image space.
I can see a miserable face in this shot if it were turn 45% I am not sure if you have seen it but it would have been better with it in the right plane. I am also not sure what the significance of the plate is within the composition as it looks out of place. The crop is a bit tight too. I am sorry as this seems quite negative but I do like the complimenting colour of the boarder
Wow, I'm pretty sure this photo is going to get hammered for that border! And possibly for not going to the effort of taking the ham out of the packet and frying the eggs like in the picture book. It's not wasting it - you can still eat it afterwards. :)
1)frame to large. much to large
2)dont understand why you chose purple as the inner frame.
3) and if your going to use food, take it out of the package
why is the image so small? use the size allowance to show details in your image ... crop seems too tight (plate and ham cut off) ... purple border clashes with the bright green eggs ...
