As I've fallen a bit behind, I decided to submit another image from day 1. The lighting was a bit of a problem here, but I don't think it looks too bad in black and white.
not bad at all, would be interesting with a tighter crop cutting out the pole just leaving the net, the lines and the shadows so th e object in not so obvious.

The bright area at the top tends to pull me there though and is a bit distracting if the main subject is the net. A bit higher angle may have got you past that.
Yes, I wish I could have done that. Unfortunately this tennis court is no longer in use and I could only take the photo through the fence. It was quite difficult to get the angle I wanted without the fence getting into the shot.
