Well I'm not sure what I can add to a Ribbon winning shot, but here goes. First things first congrats on the first ribbon on DPC. I like the shot and the concept and its wonderfully done. A few quick suggestions. I'd like to see the text wider and not so long because when you resize to fit challenge size the writing becomes tougher to see. I'd also like to see just a touch more contrast in it. Otherwise pretty much great shot. Of course the voters already told you that.
I like the thinking behind the shot - working out the value of 'Pi'- such a strange value in maths, it is the only value I have heard of which has no end. I think it's how to find out the number of times the width accross a circle divides into the distance round the outside, and it's about 3 and one-seventh I think, but if finely measured, it is and infinitely long number, as it doesnt fit precisely. I mean, it has never been completely written down, I understand, as it would need several hundred inconveniently large buildings to house the paper needed.
Are you a mathematician then? I thought 'the long way to the solution' was about hand-decorating wallpaper, but when I looked at the pix, it was more thoughtful than that.
Well deserved ribbon - hope to see more of yours later
It's not the only value that has no end. It doesn't need several hundred inconveniently large buildings to house the paper needed. It goes on infinitely. That means it goes on forever. So you cannot ever write it ALL down so it will never fit in any number of buildings. Just to clear up some misconceptions.
I will agree that it is a well deserved ribbon and congrats to the photographer. I would have liked to be able to read the text easier, perhaps a blackboard would have been more suitable. But I'm nitpicking. Well done.

Thanks everyone for your support! I`m so happy for my first ribbon. (after 5 hours work of gluing A3 papers side to side to make a 4 meters sheet without seams and writing all these down and having my knees red... this is a relief)
