Mainz train station - my train was about 15 minutes late leaving so I played with the camera while waiting.
Not a whole lot of cropping at all - just enough to straighten and evenly balance the shot. And I like the bird there - in my old age, I've discovered that perfect symmetry is best done with an offsetting element or two. But that's just me.
Awesome leading lines and perspective here, Deb.....
It really does lead one right into the image.....
So much to see, yet, it does not look busy..... I like it.
Ahhhh, I had to look for the bird, but I'm glad I found it. It adds much interest. I love the lines and angles of this photo. All the shades of grayscale make this such a perfect black and white photo.
love the perspective and this works so well in b&w .. i feel like i'm just about to run up those stairs .. so many interesting lines and perspectives going on all over the place in this .. busy but excellent ..:)
Your obsession with German train stations grows ever stronger!!!
I love the symettry of this shot (you should have shooed that pidgeon away!!!) and the really harsh whiteness coming through the skylight (Is this wonderfully reflected behind the platform sign or is it another section)
Not sure how much cropping went on but I do like the effect
