Wow, I'm shocked at where this ended up. Don't let the score discourage you -- this is a fantastic image and my highest rated one in this challenge. I guess DPC voters just likely being knocked over the head by the challenge topic and won't spend the little time necessary to see the relevance.
This is one of my favourites - and people complain about "not meeting the challenge", "except the circle"... WTF?
Simply put, Pi is the conversion factor from a circle diameter to its circumference. *Pi* is ALL about circles, much more so than it is about the greek symbol "pi".
Looking at the photos in this "pi" challenge, it's like you have a challenge "apple" and people start shooting the word apple instead of real apples. Or perhaps the number "5" since it has five letters.
Keep up the good work, the other voters just didn't get it.
Very nice. I love the colors and the way the bokeh echos the water drop. The drop itself looks like a minature earth,m and the strands form interesting geometric shapes that tie everything back to mathematics.
