I have other shots I considered for the Free Study, but I spent all month watching these guys grow and figured the availability of Expert Editing which allows us to use more than one shot gave me the chance to try to document just how fast these guys grow up. The top right shot is from April 9th, the top left from April 14th, and the bottom two are from April 28th. There are nine goslings - I'm not sure if they're all from one mom or if two of the moms share the duties. At any rate, I don't expect blockbuster scores, but I do hope at least a few of you will enjoy the "story" presented here.
I'll post more in my portfolio after the challenge ends, and will keep shooting them as they grow, too.
I liked this a lot, wildlife is one of my favourite subjects. In fact, I am taking my camera to work tomorrow (Wednesday) cos we have lots of new babies. Last count was three, four and six Canada Geese Goslings, one Coot and a persistent Heron. There are a pair of Egyptian Geese, but they have never bred here yet.
That poor mama must be tired to have raised all those at once - hope she takes next year off to rest. :) This is a sweet arrangement and each image is shot well.
Ohhhhh.. .I LOVE this one!! Definitely my kind of photo! I'm impressed that you got so many shots, and the photo is still large enough to see detail in all of them. I always have a problem when doing triptychs or more with the photos being so small you can't even enjoy them.
I love the story. I think my favorite it the bottom most right. The expression on that mom's face is one of sheer bliss. Like all is well with the world! Great job, Deb!
They do indeed grow up fast. My sister had some a while back and I was so surprised at how big they got so quickly! I love the colors in these images and how they all go so nicely with each other. Really great composite.
Wow, you've graduated from a tryptic to a quadtic. To me, this is a very nice peaceful summer feel-good shot. Reminds me of being a little kid and going to the lake and seeing all the ducks. Good job Deb.
Good study photo, with the growth in multi frame , a very game move with a triptych challenge on as well, I would be pleased with this finish in a monthly challenge.
What a refreshing image you have here.....
I really love the four images togerher like this, lovely composition here, as you are right, as ir does tell us a story.....
You should be proud of this one , thats for sure.....
