Nearby water way with cement pillars to slow the rushing water. This was the first time I ever saw water running through there and the timing was right for the challenge.
Added some contrast, adjusted levels, played with the shadow highlights, slight desaturation, neat image, sharpened, cropped.

Crazy - I got the other pic with the same title just 5 pics ago! Both are quite beautiful; this one appeals to my water resources engineering background. 9.
I hope this finds it's rightful place near the top of the heap for this challenge. Not sure if you used noise reduction on this or not, but it appears that there was some reduction of detail. That's my only nitpick on this. A very clever choice of subject and composition for the challenge. Good luck!
