Just in case you didn´t check your histogram, the bottom left corner highlights are blown to bits and also that persons nose but I don´t really find it distracting, the composition works well to draw my eye first to the dog and then the person. 6 from me.

I can't put my finger on which mood it is exactly, but a very definite moodiness to this photograph. Like the b&w conversion as well. Great job!
