Childhood is all about being proud of something you made or did. Great depiction of that. The sky is beautiful for this photo and kite is very colorful. The angle is great. I like how the entire kite is in the photo including the tails. Great job and good luck in the challenge.
Good compositon, detail in the sky.... I never knew the paper plate kites would actually fly! I think, if possible, I would have loved to see more of the string - the kite further out..
Wonderful content and composition. Only minor point is that, because sun is behind, face of plate kite isn't as well lit. Wonderful clouds and the light through the ribbon tails is great. 7, Kavey
This is a very beautiful depiction of childhood - the coarse charm of the kite, the excitement of having it fly, the feeling of wonder and possibility... I love it :). 10 - lisae
Lovely sky and nice placement of the plate thing against it. But I can't get past the fact that I dont think this thing would actually fly. Great shot, though. 8 - floyd

The interplay between the kite and clouds is great. Did you try it showing more string so that it doesn't look like the kite is being pulled out of the frame? karmat
Wonderful ! I love the very simplicity of it, and the fact that the entire background is sky. Also that the kite is obviously homemade by a real kid ! Nice work. lhall
This is a really good photo. I like the colors of the kite with the light blue background and the clouds make it seem like its soaring so high in the sky. 8.
Makes me think of all the times I'd go tearing down the yard in an attempt to get one of those kites airborne. The different colors in the streamers really heightens the feel of the wind. Nice work.
Beautiful sky, very nice colors in the streamers, and the classic home made kite-thing we've all seen. This definitely meets the challenge. I love the yarn!
