Challenge: Landscape III (Expert Editing*)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II
Location: Boulder, CO
Date: Apr 17, 2007
Aperture: f/7.1
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/320
Galleries: Landscape
Date Uploaded: Apr 17, 2007

This was taken from my office balcony on Pearl St in Boulder, CO.

- Pictures of the mountains are always a bit difficult because of the blue haze caused by the atmosphere. I selectively used hue/sat to deal with this, with a gradient mask toward the upper left of the image (further into the bkg).

- Cloned out a lot of trees and houses near the bottom of the image to make a more pleasant looking meadow.

- Made the sky more tasty (hue/sat)

- Overall color adjustments with Color Balance, Hue/Sat layer mask (per RYGBCM channel), and levels.

Very nice, I like that despite the trees, you don´t really get the sense of scale here. 7 from me.

Nicely done. This looks like a postcard. (That is a good thing!) All of the technicals are perfect, and the place is gorgeous.
