this is another one of my challenge entries that probably wont appeal to most dpc voters, but i grew quite fond of it during its creation !!...
it's a composite of two photographs taken on the firetrail where i live .. the sun's rays are hightlighted by the mist coming thru the trees ... camera settings are for the closer more silhouetted image .. the other photograph only differed in shutter speed which was 1/40 sec ...
these are the two unedited photographs ..
this is an extremely abbreviated version of my processing which took me in lot of different directions that ended up not working for me, so i cant remember all my steps ...
i opened both photographs in RAW and made them a bit more blue ...
in CS2 i overlayed one photograph over the other, opacity something or other ... flattened ... increased canvas size to accomodate another layer, then duplicated new background layer and flipped vertically .. did a flaming pear flood on one layer after scaling the unflipped and flipped images, then skewed flooded layer ... flattened and then increased canvas size a lot wider and then re-scaled image to fit ... did levels to lighten ... resized, reduced noise, small amount of selective sharpen, selectively saturated the green leaves, border, convert to profile sRGB, saved for web ..
PRINT HAS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT DIMENSION TO CHALLENGE ENTRY ALSO NO BORDER, MORE CONTRASTY & ADDED ROZ LOGO .

Sorry but I can“t really make out what I am watching even and I have never been a fan of abstract work so this got a 3 from me. Keep in mind that this is just my personal preference so feel free to ignore me.
This is the first one I've seen that looks like it really took advantage of the editing rules. It doesn't look over processed to me, though. More intriguing with the lightplay and shadows.
It is a very interesting picture with beautiful colors and nice composition. It presents very stretched interpretation of "Landscape" theme, but I like it.(8)
