This photo shoot was originally intended for glamour purposes. As I was working with these images I tought of creating something more artisitic rather than the usual glamour shots. So I came up with this....
Details: Taken in studio using BOWENS Gemini 500 from top right and a round reflector bottom left. Used a my canon macro 100mm lens at f/14 to get maximum sharpness on the hair, eyes & skin.
IN PS: Crop, rotate, unsharp mask, changed the colour skin tone to white in levels and maintined sharpness of skin by overlaying the white skin layer over the colour skin layer and played with opacities.
Changed the eye colour as the original was hazel brown and was not giving much contrast. The green eye is more deep and gives a more direct look and impact. Cloned out minor skin imperfections
Photo was taken with 20D and not 350D as I cant find from where I can change my equipmenmt settings :(
Hope you like....

This shot inspired me so much and gave me a good idea for the Symmetry challenge. What I'm going to do, is make the shot assymetrical, and hopefully it will ribbon.
Wow.. talk about a surprise ribbon winner. This is a photograph all about an *eye*.. possibly a *face*.. but hair? That little wisp on the side?
Do people even take challenge criteria into consideration anymore? lol.
Not to knock the photo of course, which is quite lovely on its own terms.. but I'm just floored and confused.
I think so, I felt like the hair in this shot MADE it for me, very intense shot that would not have been as dramatic without the hair exactly the way it is...just my thoughts...
This image is very nice. I think it would have been better if the hair was a little bit more in the image. My attention is drawn more to the eye than the hair. Nice shot though.
Its a good image, but there is so much of her eye and so little of her hair. I think it would have met the challenge better if, you put more of her hair in the photo.
Definitely my pick for the blue. Nice overall feel, great lighting, and awesome colors! Wonderful post turned this good shot into a great one - well done. That eye color absolutely made this shot. Stunning. Fav.
Very well done! The subtle color in the iris is just right. I find the outline of the contact lens a bit distracting though, I would have edited that out.
This is a wonderful portrait, but it seems to be way more about the person (primary focus the eye) that it has to do with "hair". JMO of course. :) Good luck in the challenge.
