This is a very eye-catching effect! Makes you question your eyes - what is the object what is the shadow? Makes you think about how light effects our perception of shape. I wonder how a slightly different angle to the composition would work - more diagonal? I love the gentle range of tones inthe shadow. 9
Nice effect. I think it would have been good to shoot from a higher perspective than here, so you have a bit more of the real fork. I showed this to someone and I had to point out that the shadow was actually a shadow. If the real fork wasn't shot from the edge only, there would also be a complementary symmetry.

I like your choice of composition, think I would have gone cooler on the colors, but that's just my first impression. One of my favorites this challenge, a very original and well-executed idea.
