photograph was taken in Pompeii, Italy. I've been in Italy 6 days for a school trip and I made there nearly 1300 photos.
first edited the entire photograph: darkened shadows and highlights, and used a little more contrast.
then I made a new layer from the sky and darkened that some more.

Marvelous image. My one and only gripe and it is being a bit picky but thats what where here for are the power lines. As I looked down the path and up towards the mounts, there are the slight (2) black lines from the power pole. These caused my eye to stop & follow them until I seen the top of the pole to the left there and realized they were power lines. Other then that I love it, great image.
